Seed pearls are less than 2mm in size or weigh less than one quarter of a gram. Making pieces out of them is notoriously difficult and time consuming. And that's exactly why you don't see a lot of new Seed pearl creations around today. Indeed, most Seed pearl pieces come from the Victorian era when these tiny beauties reached the zenith of their popularity. Our own Pearl Gypzy sautoir tassel necklace has been influenced by Chaumet and Cartier during the 20's and 30's. The feminist spirit and style of that era is inspiring and provokes us to confection this contemporary, clean and sophisticated piece for the women of today.
Twelve strands of seed pearls make up this stunning tassel. Each strand is knotted into a large cream baroque pearl that forms the tassel crown and hangs from a sterling silver lobster clasp. The removable tassel is balanced perfectly on a necklace of two long ropes of Seed pearls. One rope is natural cream colour and the other a rich dark beige/ gold colour. This piece has an automatic rarity.
Although the rope colours remain the same for both variants, the tassle itself comes in 2 colour options:
Rich dark beige/gold strands on a cream pearls crown.
One rope of cream seed pearls
One rope of dark beige/gold seed pearls
No clasp on necklace ropes
Premium gift box presentation
One size fits all
Measurement of necklace ropes is of 92cm
Tassel length including clasp is 10cm
Please note that as all our pieces are hand made, sizes and descriptions may vary slightly.
